Capsicum frutescens
The name “frutescens” translates as “bushy” or “shrubby”, which usually describes this species quite well.
Known best from the famous “Tabasco” sauce which is made from the variety with the same name.
There are very few pod variations in this group, varieties are slightly different, but clearly not as much pod shapes as with other Capsicum species.
Typical C. frutescens properties are pods that come off very easily, flowers with greenish tint, and shrubby, quick growing habit.
Could be a good choice for even beginner grower, especially as indoor plant in cooler climates as these peppers really like it hot (preferably not too low temps during the nights).
